Copy In Order

Copy In Order is a lightweight and portable piece of software that can copy files from one location to another in alphabetical order. For example, it comes in handy when copying music to an external device, since the Windows default copy function does not always take the order into account.

As there is no setup pack involved, you can drop the executable file in any part of the hard disk and just click it to run, as well as save Copy In Order to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, in order to directly run it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers.

An important factor worth taking into account is that the Windows registry and Start menu do not get updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the disk, thus leaving no traces behind after its removal.

The GUI is made of a single window with a classical appearance that does not put too much emphasis on looks, although it is easy to navigate. The app can overwrite any existing files, first transfer files and then folders, delete the output directory if it does not exist in the source path, move the files instead of copying them, as well as take into account only specific types of files to copy, defined by the user. Copy In Order lets you check available space on the destination disk as well as create a BAT file.
