Handling media files these days has gotten pretty simple and straightforward, and the abundance of image, video, audio, or document formats out there is met with a ton of either software or even online platforms providing file management.

File Viewer, just as its name suggests, aims at offering a more generalist take on the whole media management endeavor, and provides you with a dedicated desktop client for visualizing images, and videos, playing audio files, or previewing documents, all from within a single, centralized platform.

I enjoyed the fact that File Viewer allows you to add multiple files to the visualizer list. Not only that, but it also allows you to add multiple files of different formats at the same time. This is highly convenient, and each comes with a thumbnail preview.

There are, however, no options for adding filters or sorting the content, or selecting a different view for the loaded data. Although not such a big deal-breaker, it would have been nice to see such functionality included.

When it comes to actually previewing the added files, the application comes equipped with a dedicated image viewer, a video player, a bundled audio player, as well as a dedicated document viewer.

Each viewer is well-designed and features simple controls, which offer straightforward handling and a really smooth viewing experience.

With its minimalist design and a selection of only the essentials in terms of features, File Viewer comes ready to offer you an efficient manner for previewing images, videos, audio, as well as digital document files, in a convenient, centralized manner.
