If you are feeling that your computer is currently too cluttered, and you are no longer able to find a specific file as easily as before, perhaps it may be time to consider organizing your data. Granted, everyone hates doing file organization, especially when they have thousands of pages to go through.

SortedKi is a specialized tool designed to help you with file organization in a way that suits your needs and preferences.

For starters, I want to point out that the application will create multiple folders for each sorting category you create. Remember to place it in a location where you can easily find both files and folders. The interface is rather rugged, and you may be slightly confused at first, as it is designed to do the sorting for the current folder. Make sure to place the app in the directory that you are trying to organize.

Before you can actually use the app, first you need to go through the settings to configure your rules. The Settings button is relatively small and inconspicuously located in the bottom left corner of the GUI. It would have been nice if the app included a notice to select your sorting rules before anything else.

The Settings are quite clear and straightforward, and you already have some default general profiles there, namely runtime, document, archive, music, picture, and video. They are organized as a list, and you can clearly see what files types are being sorted. You can add, delete, edit and disable any of these default profiles along with their rules. You can easily add new profiles by specifying a name, folder and rules.

The main window is actually the log, where you can preview what files have been processed. The files are displayed with color codes for each file type, which makes it easier to go through the log. Moreover, SortedKi includes warnings of possible errors, such as not being able to access a file because it is used by a different program.
