As stated previously, the program is all about affording content creators a set of tools to make their shoutcasting look a bit more professional than simply using the built-in spectator mode in League. With that in mind, it’s worth noting that the program pairs very well with a streaming solution like OBS, which will allow you to overlay your chosen statistics about the current game.

It’s easy enough to get started with the software, as it just involves running both the League game and itself at the same time. Besides that, users can look to configure their experience via the Pick Ban menu, where they’ll be able to save teams, state their coaches, keep the score, as well as manage logos and colors. It’s also possible to use a delay when streaming.

Do note that, in order to get the overlays to cooperate with OBS, you’ll have to set this link as a browser source in the streaming app. Refer to the developer’s guide for more details.

There are multiple types of overlays available, which a quick look at the Ingame menu should reveal. Objective-centric overlays, such as Baron, Elder, and Inhibitor timers, player-specific ones to notify viewers of the items, levels, experience, gold, and creep score, are both available. You may also overlay the game’s scoreboard, team scores, icons, and even include a gold graph for an easy reading of a match’s situation.

Overall, LeagueBroadcast seems modern and intuitive enough to work with, but we found it to be generally unstable. Crashes to desktop were quite common, and as such, it’s best to be careful with how much you rely on the program.
