Extract saves for various video games, making sure to have easier access to these files that can be easily edited with other helpful software solutions #Game Save #Save Extract #Extract Save #Save #Extract #File
Save Game Extractor is pretty straightforward in what it does. It uses a smart and adjustable .TXT list to identify and extract save files from their location.
As a result, you will be able to grab a hold of these files more easily, without navigating through your whole computer and its drives only to waste time and become frustrated. The program works with the Windows command-line program.
The program must have the list in the same directory of operation. Once the program is launched, it will show the number of games it has identified on your machine.
Follow the on-screen prompts to tell the app which save you'd like extracted. The instructions are clear and do not require the user to use intricate commands. Input a simple number using your Numpad should prove enough.
This application is quite small and although it uses the terminal to do its bidding, you shouldn't be scared. It is easy to operate and does not require much knowledge on the user's side to use it at its full power. I found the program to be very helpful indeed.
Do keep in mind this program is not compatible with saves that are embedded in launchers. Steam, Epic, and other similar games will not show as required through this application's interface.
The same issue is valid for registry-located save files. Although I did not encounter any such games, I found the situation to be worth taking into account for those few exceptions you might end up with on your hands.
Save Game Extractor is pretty much what the title says. It manages to work as expected and does not surprise me in any way. I found it useful especially for games that hide these saves using complex directory paths.
What's new in Save Game Extractor 1.1:
- It turns out I don't actually need to include the entire release folder (oops). I also applied some optimizations and ran it through UPX to make the binary REALLY small!
- Performance should be the same.
