When you receive a new message or a game invite in League of Legends, the client’s taskbar icon flashes to notify you. This alert can be difficult to notice, however, so you may end up missing something important.

Sentinel is a nifty application that comes with an interesting solution: it displays native Windows 10 notifications in the tray area when someone sends you a message or invite in the LoL client.

The application is very easy to install. It will add itself to the start menu and, optionally, to the startup list during the setup process. When you’re done, the program will continue running in the background and managing your notifications.

When you get an invite or a message in the League of Legends client, you will now receive Windows notifications to alert you. You can even reply to messages and accept or decline the invite without bringing up the client.

Once set up, the program runs in the background and can be configured by just clicking the tray icon. It interacts with the client whenever it is active without requiring confirmation.

You can specify whether you want notifications to be displayed while you are in a game. This option is disabled by default, as you may not want to be bothered while playing.

The application can alert you of messages received in other chat rooms, not just direct messages and club chats.
