TpacTool

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord aficionados and those who take pride in their gameplay and corresponding character and content, might be requiring tools for tweaking and visualizing the properties of the game assets. TpacTool is an application that was designed in order to offer users the means to explore the gameplay assets, which are commonly found in TPAC format.

The proprietary archive format used in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord for storing assets, TPAC, replaces the older BRF and CRF, used in early betas and Taleworlds hasn’t yet released a dedicated tool for visualizing the new archive formats. In order for users to perform modifications to their assets, editing is required, and this is where TpacTool comes in handy.

The main working principle of the app revolves around opening directories containing assets, instead of actual asset files. All the contained items in an asset directory will be listed, and each can be visualized individually.

A set of dedicated tabs will allow users to visualize and browse the asset components on various levels of structure, according to the contained models, skeletons, materials, and other elements. Vertex animations are also supported for visualization, together with morphing for the loaded models.
