XBatteryStatus is not an exclusively Xbox-related battery status application. On the contrary, it aims to provide information for most Bluetooth controllers, making it a great choice for any individual who wants to know how much juice is left in a device before having to charge or replace the batteries. It's simple, useful, and non-intrusive, making it a great choice for any PC gamer out there.

The concept behind it is quite simple. The user needs to have a Bluetooth controller that uses the standard BLE battery service. For example, the Xbox Series X Controller uses this service out of the box. Once connected, the tray icon will show a relative level represented by a battery filled with a certain level of energy. Upon hovering over the tray icon, the user will receive an accurate reading, a percentage of battery energy left. A warning will be issued at 15, 10, and 5% levels of the battery.

When the app is not used, the icon will hide itself. The program barely uses any resources, meaning it won't be bothersome in any way. One will have to issue commands in order to have it launch with the Windows system because it does not have this option or any other for that matter. The application is represented solely by its tray icon. No menu or interface means less consumed resources but also not much control over the app itself. In terms of connectivity, there are no issues, no sudden disconnections or errors.

XBatteryStatus is one of the simplest yet most useful applications out there for Bluetooth controller gamers. It reads accurate battery levels, keeps the user informed, and even issues alarms when the battery is low. It does not use many resources and ultimately does not bother one unless summoned.
