gamepass-keyboard-controller is yet another Xbox Games-tied application. Although the name is a tad misleading, the application brings simple and helpful functionality to the table. The idea behind this program is to trick the Xbox Games app into thinking you've got a controller and what better way to do that if not by using your keyboard? The idea is that this program established the location of your touch buttons within the app sets a perimeter for button use, and requires you to choose a key for that chosen area.

The program is made up of a wizard-like process. You will be asked where all the touch buttons on the screen are located, then for each controller corresponding one you will be required to hit a key to bind it to that specific button. So the application will ask the user to point to the area that is meant to activate the X button or the B button, and you're going to choose that space, followed by one keyboard key you find fit for replacing or activating that specific button.

Although it can't be considered much of a program, this alternative to touch buttons or controllers is great if you're simply not keen on purchasing a controller for one or two games. Still, it's hard to imagine this app replacing your gamepad on a daily basis simply because the touch buttons themselves will remain visible on the screen, even though you as a user will be sending actions via keyboard. The whole program is thought of as improvisation and as such will only be able to slightly help you unless you find the detailed inconveniences to be small enough to live with.

Although improvement could be brought to this existing solution, one must take into consideration that the mechanism itself is also difficult to sustain.
