PC iPod is an application suite that sports powerful features for transferring data from your Apple device (iPod, iPhone, iPad) to your PC, managing files and converting audio and video to other formats.

Provided that the Apple device is already plugged into the computer, the data transfer module immediately loads a list of all containing files, whether we are talking about music, video, playlists or eBooks. It is possible to select all files or individual ones, or make a custom check.

You can prepare audio and video items for iPod, iPhone or iPad, save the audio stream to the MP3 format, as well as create ringtones compatible with iPhone (M4R format).

Several configuration options are provided for more experienced users. You can customize the audio and video streams when it comes to the quality, frame rate, size, aspect ratio, sample rate and channel mode. Plus, you can trim the movie clip.

From the Settings panel you can make the tool automatically detect iTunes and open the output folder after the transfer is done, as well as choose a directory for saving the media tracks.

PC iPod uses a low-to-moderate quantity of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and carries out a transfer or conversion job rapidly. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests, and the tool did not hang or crash. The converted clips have a fair image and sound quality.
