TransferPod

TransferPod is an approachable piece of software that you can use to transfer audio tracks between iPod/iPhone devices and computers. It does not come packed with complex options or configuration parameters, making it accessible to all types of users, even those less experienced with such apps.

The entire installation procedure takes little time and minimal effort to finish. As far as the interface is concerned, TransferPod adopts a large window with a neatly organized structure that provides direct access to all available options.

Seamlessly transfer files and configure settings

Once you connect the iOS device to the machine, you can view playlists and check out song information when it comes to the title, duration, album, artist and genre for each track.

It is possible to refresh data, modify the default saving directory, take photos into account for copying, directly ad exported music, videos and playlists to the iTunes library, as well as to ask the program to open the output directory on task completion and to keep the target directory organized by playing files into album and artist folders. There are no other notable options provided by this piece of software.

Evaluation and conclusion

No error dialogs were shown in our testing, and the app did not hang or crash. We have not encountered any unpleasant surprises in this regard. It transfers files rapidly and has minimal impact on computer performance, using low CPU and RAM. However, TransferPod comes loaded with a handful of options for performing file transfers. Otherwise, it gets the job done.
