As its name suggests, VOVSOFT - Website Watcher can keep a close eye on any website, monitoring the page for changes by comparing the previously parsed version with the new version. You can use it to watch multiple pages at the same time and parse them each to check if there is any difference in the content.

You can add as many URLs as you want in the input list within the main window and, what is more, the application allows you to load a list of website addresses in TXT format. Practically, you get to import the list of URLs to parse and monitor with VOVSOFT - Website Watcher. RSS/ATOM feeds are supported, so it’s safe to say that this application can also play the role of a RSS reader.

The last time a page has suffered changes, and the page status (changed or “Ok”) are displayed in the main window. The content of the scanned webpage is revealed in the lower side of the window. There are two strip methods available: via Internet Explorer or using regex and HTML decode. Please take into account that with VOVSOFT - Website Watcher it is not possible to see a page as if you would with a web browser.

On the downside, the changes are not highlighted and there is no option to compare the old version with the new one side by side, as you would probably expect.

VOVSOFT - Website Watcher can automatically check for changes periodically. You get to configure the time interval in seconds as you consider fit.

VOVSOFT - Website Watcher comes in handy for basic monitoring tasks of one or more websites. It can help you track changes in competitor’s prices, get updates of your favorite pages, or check to see a product’s availability. While its feature set might be enough for the regular user who needs to monitor a simple webpage, some users might need a bit more. What would add to its value would be additional filtering options for the watcher and the ability to see a browser-like version of the parsed page.
