A powerful web browser that aims to enhance your web experience also putting a large variety of image editing and audio tools at your disposal. #Web browser #Internet browser #Webpage navigator #Browser #Browse #Webpage
You preferred web browser is the bridge between you and a powerful information database kept alive by users. Nowadays, with the Internet speed reaching new peaks, only taste is considered when choosing a browser. FireWeb is one of them and comes equipped with a little more than an address bar and navigation options.
On a first look, the application leaves a little something to be desired, with a poorly designed layout and arrangement of buttons. Multiple tabs are supported, so you can, for example, listen to your favorite tunes while digging up info. What's more, besides the address field and navigation options you can take advantage of an integrated search field to quickly look up items of interest.
Navigation speed is not the most important feature and the overall functionality is slightly disturbing and affects your browsing experience. On the other hand, the application comes equipped with a few more tools that make it suitable for office and media work.
Don't expect too much, because under the “Tools” menu, you find all available utilities you can take advantage of, but with minimum output results. Amongst others, you get access to a download manager, notebook, image editor, PDF viewer, audio player and several more.
Regardless of the one you access, a new window is brought up with a simple set of commands that allow you to listen to a song, rotate an image and save it to file create a blacklist of potentially harmful websites and more.
Depending on the number of tabs that are active and content, the application can take up a considerable amount of resources for what it gives in return. Moreover, you don't always manage to get the expected result, with faulty tools and navigation getting stuck in certain situations.
All things considered, FireWeb has a lot more to learn from industry giants, but it's on the right path. Additional tools it comes equipped with are helpful, but you get the feeling that there are a lot of opportunities and no way to make them shine because of the poor design of the tools, as well as the browser itself.
