AxelChat

If you are regularly streaming live, then we don’t need to tell you more about the importance of engaging with your audience. Then again, in order to interact with viewers, first you need to be able to check out what they are writing to you. Since you can’t focus on your content and the chat at the same time, you may need a tool that lets you check out the chat.

AxelChat is a lightweight utility that allows you to place the chat window on top of your other apps so that you can preview it during your streams.

The application is portable so simply download and launch to get started. The interface consists of a single window that displays the chat as soon as you connect it to the platforms where you are doing the streams. For the time being, the application works with YouTube, Twitch, Trovo and GoodGame, but the developer plans on adding more platforms in the future.

As indicated in the main window, you can connect to a platform by right clicking on the GUI to be prompted to the Settings window. From here, select the platform and paste the broadcast ID or link to your stream. Bear in mind that platforms like Twitch require additional information, namely the 0Auth token as well.

By default, the window is transparent and can be placed in any location on your screen. However, you can change all that via the Settings and modify both the background and window transparency. You can set the tool to display extra useful information such as viewers count, message author name, platform icon, avatar or the time the message was sent.

AxelChat is an overall easy to use utility that can come in handy for anyone who regularly does live streams and wants to improve the engagement with his or her audience.
