You can modify the behavior of the client related to your tray and taskbar, and it''s also possible to toggle which Discord API requests to block. Permissions for your microphone, notifications, and more, can also be enabled or disabled individually.

There's also a Content Security Policy setting, which allows the end user to configure a list of third-party websites allowed to display content. As such, if you don't want to see content from Twitter, Reddit, Spotify, and so on, you can disable it here.

For those who want to keep using Discord, but aren't too happy with how their privacy is handled, WebCord can act as a good alternative to the official client.
