Clan, faction, or guild - call the however you want, if you're into multiplayer gaming, then you probably already know what they are. What you may not know, however, is about the existence of a new and interesting platform called Guilded.

In just a few words, Guilded is a web app that provides you and your gaming team with a functional and versatile chat and collaboration environment. What's more, to make the whole experience as convenient as possible for you, it also comes in the form of desktop apps for both Windows and macOS, as well as with mobile clients for iOS and Android.

Since it's currently in a fairly young development stage, the app does not come with a typical wizard-based installer, at least for now. That said, you simply need to download the app, unzip its package and run it via its designated executable file, no extra requirements or hassle required.

Getting started with Guilded is just as convenient, if not even more so, as it requires you to log in using your Facebook, Steam, or Discord accounts, if creating a new Guilded account seems, indeed, like too much trouble.

First off, it should be pointed out that the app offers support for an incredible number of games. Overwatch, League of Legends, CounterStrike: Global Offensive, Dota: 2, Minecraft, World of Tanks, Battlefield 4, World of Warcraft, Call of Dutty, Black Ops III, Halo 5: Guardians, Guild Wars II, Starcraft 2, The Elder Scrolls, Diablo III, Pokemon Go, and Grand Theft Auto are just some of the most popular examples.

The app is quite functional and very intuitive, offering neat chat and collaboration features for staying as strongly connected with your gaming team as possible. You can recruit new team members via custom applications and with the help of powerful filters, and even promote or change the ranks of already existing ones.

Watching live event streams of premier gaming events, schedule upcoming gaming-related events for your and your team, and share documents are also possible. The discussion environments are not bad either, with support for rich editing and pretty handy, modern media capabilities.

Before we conclude, there's a small thing we would like to point out. As we're sure you'll notice, the desktop apps are not exactly "functionally-independent," and still rely a bit on the web app for various aspects.

We're sure that with time, the platform itself will become even better with the addition of various interesting features like support for matchmaking, tournaments, game forums and award showcase section while the desktop app will become, of course, wholly independent regarding functionality.
