MessRes

MessRes is an approachable and simple-to-use software application that enables you to back up information from Windows Live Messenger accounts. It offers support for text and voice messages, photos, custom emoticons, avatars, scenes, sounds, static and dynamic funds, and more.

After a brief and uneventful setup procedure, you are welcomed by simplistic interface made from a normal window with a clear-cut structure, where you can get started by entering your Windows Live Messenger account credentials to log in.

From this point on, you can browse lists with avatars and all the previously mentioned object types, preview images in the main frame, as well as customize the search filter: static and dynamic avatars, background, shared items, sounds, the session cache, dynamic background, scenes, voice clips, themes, and winks.

MessRes can also be asked to remember accounts, animate GIF images, and to expand or collapse categories. All you have to do is select the items from the list that you want to get ahold of, specify an output directory, and let the software application take care of the rest. There are no other notable options available here.

We haven't encountered any unpleasant surprises in our tests as far as stability is concerned, thanks to the fact that MessRes didn't freeze, crash or pop up error messages. Its impact on the overall performance of the computer was minimal, since it used low CPU and RAM.

MessRes delivers a fast and effective solution for backing up important information from Windows Live Messenger accounts, and it can be seamlessly handled by anyone.
