skyCensor is a powerful and easy-to-use software program that enables you to monitor and log Skype statuses and chat conversations to file, in order to keep track of them and review them later.

It doesn't come loaded with complex options or configuration preferences, making it accessible to all types of users, even the ones less experienced in such apps.

The installation procedure is a fast and easy task that shouldn't impose any difficulties. Just keep in mind that you need Skype installed in order to skyCensor to work.

At startup, it creates an icon in the system tray area for quickly accessing its features, and it gets sent there when minimized, so the app isn't intrusive and doesn't interrupt your regular activities on the computer.

The main application window has a neatly organized structure and shows all Skype contacts. You can select one to check out the timestamp of each status, view text conversations, and resort to a basic search function when dealing with large amounts of information. Data can be saved to file or directly printed.

As far as program customization is concerned, it's possible to hide the status bar, toolbars and docking windows, as well as to change the app look. There are no other noteworthy options available here.

We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that skyCensor didn't hang, crash or display error messages. As we expected, it left a small footprint on system resources, thanks to the fact that it needed low CPU and RAM to work properly.

Although it doesn't come loaded with more advanced options, skyCensor delivers a straightforward solution for recording Skype statuses and chat, and it can be seamlessly handled by anyone. Plus, it's free.
