Page Scavanger

Page Scavanger is a simple, easy-to-use and small .NET application designed to allow easy downloading of images hosted on free image services via the links posted on web pages.

For example, there are many message boards that host image links to celebrity photos where the celebrity photos are actually hosted on free image hosting services such as ImageShack, ImageVenue and any of many more.

Page Scavanger features downloading from many of these services simply by copying and pasting the web page's URL into Page Scavanger and clicking "Go"

Limitations:

￭ Corrupt images aren't downloaded. If an image is found to be corrupt, it is deleted and re-downloading of the image is attempted. If the image is still corrupt, it is deleted and not downloaded again. ￭ Only JPEG images are supported. ￭ Images smaller than 60k in size are deleted automatically. ￭ Retry of failed downloads has very simplistic logic. ￭ App uses 4 concurrent download threads, always. ￭ All regex strings used for the image hosts are hard-coded in the app.
