While it's not particularly difficult to access wallpapers from Windows Spotlight and Bing manually, you might need to navigate through various menus or perform additional steps to save wallpapers from these sources

Xpic is a straightforward tool designed to streamline the process of saving wallpapers from Windows Spotlight and Bing.

The program is available with a setup and a portable edition, so you can choose the latter, if you prefer keeping the system and registry keys clean. I liked the interface, as it consisted of the daily wallpapers against a dark background, which is both simple and efficient.

You can access the options via right-click, and there are 3 main functions, namely Open, Save wallpaper and Set as desktop wallpaper. The idea behind the app is to simplify the saving process by allowing you to download wallpapers with just a single click, therefore eliminating the need for manual downloading and ensuring a smoother user experience.

As I see it, the program can come in handy if you want to collect high-quality wallpapers from Windows Spotlight and Bing effortlessly. On the other hand, you should bear in mind that you will have to open the app daily to save the new wallpapers and that it solely works with the aforementioned sources.

You should know that the application itself, doesn’t come with any editing capabilities. Then again, there is a workaround to customize the images by opening them in your favorite photo editing tool.

For instance, I found that opening an image in the Microsoft Photos app allowed me to resize it and view metadata. When I used a more advanced editor, I could further enhance the image by adding or removing elements, inserting text, applying effects, and more.
