Correspondence Registration

Now that there’s a computer in almost every office environment, it’s used as a main means of communication. Email services provide a lot of flexibility, and chances are you need to keep a close record of all activities. As such, Correspondence Registration comes as a powerful workstation to store incoming and outgoing mail messages for your company.

In case there are existing data sheets on your computer, the application can import them on launch, but these need to be the result of processing through either Office components, or Apache OpenOffice.org. Data sheets are not a requirement with the possibility to handle all details yourself.

Unfortunately, the application isn’t really organized in terms of structure, and you might have a hard time adding all details you need to work with. Although every category shows up in its own window inside the main window, you can only work with one active window at a time, and it gets confusing pretty fast.

It’s a good idea to add all resources you work with from the start so that later on you can simply select existing data through dedicated drop-down menus. The directories menu lets you configure all variables for companies, employees, executors, locations, mediums, types of documents, internal documents, and spread of internal documents.

Some show up with simple requirement fields which can be filled in on the spot in the display table, while other bring up complex forms to include all there is to know, such as date and time, address, location, and individuals responsible for specific activities. Sadly, there’s little to no support from external files.

With all details configured, the registration window is structured in several tabs which allow you to manage incoming, outgoing, and internal messages. However, you can’t configure messages to be retrieved from email clients on your computer, or read from web-based ones. Entries can be manually added, or retrieved from existing documents.

Bottom line is that Correspondence Registration comes with an impressive variety of options to keep track of different company tasks, messages, and other activities. However, import options help too little, and it takes a considerable amount of time to manually add all details, not to mention getting acquainted with the confusing layout.
