BitRecover Eudora Viewer

BitRecover Eudora Viewer is a free Windows application designed to help you open Eudora mailboxes with the MBOX format, in order to inspect received messages and attachments. It can convert files to EML format supported by Mozilla Thunderbird and other email clients.

It's not necessary to install this tool because it's portable. You can copy the downloaded executable file anywhere on the disk and just double-click it to launch the program as well as save it to a thumb drive to effortlessly run BitRecover Eudora Viewer on any PC without installation.

The Eudora email client can be optionally installed on your computer. If you don't have it, then you can use this app to open and view any mailboxes with the .mb* format, such as .mbox. When it comes to the interface, BitRecover Eudora Viewer adopts a simple window with a neatly structured layout, where the mailboxes from your Eudora account are auto-loaded at startup. Alternatively, you can open a .mb* file or a indicate a folder containing mailboxes.

Aside from the email contents, you can find out when the message was sent, the email address of the sender and receiver, subject as well as any attachments. The messages and attachments are automatically converted to EML format, and you can access the files by just double-clicking the entries in the main window to open Windows Explorer.

You can use a search tool to track down a particular word or phrase within the entire raw message or just the displayed headers. It's also possible to set the start and end date, make the search case sensitive, and match whole words only. The date format can be customized.

All aspects considered, BitRecover Eudora Viewer may not have a rich set of options and configuration settings but it delivers a straightforward solution for viewing Eudora mailboxes. It worked smoothly on Windows 10 in our tests.
