The utility uses advanced scanning techniques on the OST file by going through each line of the file and retrieving all found items, including files that may have been corrupted or accidentally deleted. Once the app discovers all the available contents from an OST file, it will display it in the form of a list so that you may manually select what is it you want to keep and what to discard. All the contents of your OST files will be displayed in folders and sub-folders in accordance to how the actual mail's contents would be displayed, so looking for specific files or emails is intuitive.

If you can thoroughly remember the details regarding the specific email you are looking for, you can always perform searches within the file using keywords. Stringing multiple keywords together will narrow down the search results significantly. It doesn't matter if you want to save your files into  MSG, EML, HTML, MHTML, TNEF, RTF or TXT formats since the tool can manage them all. More so, the app supports batch processing, allowing the selection of more than one item and saving those in desired format and location.

IGEO OST Repair doesn't come with a flashy interface or a plethora of tools, but considering what its supposed to do, it isn't that much of a big deal. This makes it good for anyone that wants to manage the contents of their OST files without the hassle of looking through cluttered interfaces or by using programs that are resource inefficient.
