Kwerty Gmail Notifier is a simple-to-use piece of software that gives you the possibility to check for new email messages on your Gmail account straight from the taskbar. It features a few handy configuration options that can be figured out by anyone.

The installation procedure doesn't take a long time to finish. However, make sure you don't rush through the wizard steps. At the end of setup, Kwerty Gmail Notifier offers to restart the PC to commit the new changes. In our case, this was not necessary.

Although this is not mentioned, the utility integrates an icon in the Windows autostart sequence, so it gets automatically launched at every system boot until told otherwise.

Once launched, Kwerty Gmail Notifier creates an icon in the taskbar and sits there silently while you carry on with your regular PC activities without any interruptions.

After entering your Gmail credentials, the tool starts monitoring your account and its taskbar icon gets highlighted in green whenever you receive a new message. This is accompanied by a sound effect.

Although it doesn't seem like the app contains any options, these become available by opening the right-click menu of the taskbar icon. It's possible to open your Gmail inbox in the default browser, compose new email, check for new messages on the spot, or log out.

What's more, you can access the configuration panel to disable or replace the sound notification with a WAV file, modify the default frequency for verifying new emails (ranging between 1 minute and 1 hour), as well as deactivate Kwerty Gmail Notifier from automatically running at every Windows startup.

There were no stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that the software tool didn't hang, crash or prompt error dialogs. It had minimal impact on computer performance, running on low CPU and RAM.

Although it doesn't implement rich options and configuration parameters, Kwerty Gmail Notifier offers a simple solution to checking your Gmail account for new messages, and it can be seamlessly handled by anyone.
