Sure enough, the regular method of viewing an email message is through the corresponding client, but messages can also be stored in files you can manipulate. For instance, Outlook stores its items under the MSG file format, and if you want or need to view them in IBM Notes, then you might want to use Jagware MSG to NSF Wizard.

The application takes little time to install, requiring little effort on your behalf. Apart from the files you wish to convert, there’s another dependency, namely IBM Notes. In other words, selecting custom content from the MSG file needs to be done through other methods, because the entire file is converted. On the bright side of things, directory structures and metadata are kept intact, but also embedded attachments.
