Message Store Viewer

Message Store Viewer is a tiny and portable software application that enables you to view details about the message storage files of a user. These contain the private information store, personal folder file (.PST), public store, and the offline folder file (.OST).

Since there is no installation involved, you can drop the program files in any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to launch the tool. There is also the possibility to save Message Store Viewer to a pen drive or other mass storage device, to be able to run it directly on any PC, without having to install anything beforehand.

More importantly, it does not add new entries to the Windows registry or Start menu, thus leaving no traces behind after program removal.

The GUI is user-friendly, based on a single window with an easy-to-navigate structure, where you can get started by specifying some parameters and flags in order to log on.

It is possible to view MDB properties, open the root folder, examine the address and AB details, disable the notification viewer and activate status and session alerts, and more.

There were no stability issues in our tests, since Message Store Viewer did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It has a good response time and minimal impact on system performance, thanks to the fact that it runs on a low amount of CPU and RAM.

On the other hand, the options of Message Store Viewer are quite advanced. We must also take into account that the software utility has not been updated for a long time.
