Shoviv PST Compress is a nifty, little tool designed for the single purpose of helping you reduce the size of your Outlook PST files.

First things first: the app is capable of working with files from all version of Outlook, including 2010, 2013, and 2016 and it should run just fine on all versions of Windows, including the latest ones.

Once installed, you should be able to get to grips with the app's functionality rather quickly. Basically, you're guided through the whole compression procedure by a three-step wizard.

As you can imagine, the first step implies you having to select the files from their location. The second step is where things get a bit more interesting since this is the step where you are required to decide between two compression methods.

You can opt to remove all the attachments from your PST Files, in which case you are provided with the option to either backup the attachments in a target folder of your choosing, or back them up while leaving a text attachment.

Alternatively, you can choose to replace the attachments with the so-called archived ones. Similarly to the previous option, you also have two ways to do this: you can either backup the attachments in the target folder, or simply archive and password protect them.

Before moving on to the last step, it's worth pointing out that you are also provided with the possibility to exclude duplicated items and deleted ones as well. Once your PST files have been compressed, the utility presents a set of useful and comprehensive reports.

Shoviv PST Compress is an efficient utility that works well and can be used by beginner and more advanced users alike. The main highlight of this app is definitely the fact that it allows you to process multiple PST files at the same time while the rest of its options only make it that more useful.
