Signature Switch

In the eventuality that you are using the same email client to send messages to friends along with official emails, then it is likely that you are spending a lot of time creating or editing your signature.

Signature Switch is an extension for Thunderbird that enables you to create various signatures that you can switch between seamlessly according to the recipients of your messages.

Since it is an extension, it goes without saying that the utility does not have a standalone interface. In case you want to configure it, then you can access the Extensions tab in your Thunderbird client.

On a side note, you can also access the Options window from the context menu. Moreover, the tool enables you to turn the signature on or off and select the one you created for a certain group or a recipient. This feature can surely come in handy when you are using the same email client for both business and personal messages.

Before you can start using the signatures, first you need to design them, a process that is rather frustrating because you cannot preview what you are actually doing. While setting up the signature is a matter of specifying the path to the notepad that contains the data, it may take some time before you figure this action out.

It is necessary to mention that since you are creating your signature in a plain text file, the editing options are limited to Notepad's capabilities. While it does a great job of creating stamps you can use on various occasions, Signature Switch is not exactly intuitive and does not include editing options that are necessary to design a professional-looking signature.
