LimeWire Turbo

LimeWire Turbo is a lightweight, yet a powerful P2P application that provides you with a convenient way to grab multimedia, movies, games and documents from users across the world that use this file sharing method.

Following an uneventful installation, you are welcome by a rather rugged interface. Nevertheless, the GUI is intuitive and consists of three tabs, representative for the type of task they can perform, namely Search, Monitor and Library.

In the Search tab is where you can look for various types of files using a keyword or phrase and specifying its type. Given the vast networks the app scoops to bring you results, you should be patient and wait for a couple of minutes before the list is populated.

Then again, if you are not looking for anything in particular, but would like to check out the latest materials, you can use the What's New section. If you want to share a specific file with a particular friend, then you can do so via the Direct Connect option by entering their IP address.

In case you want to share files with others, then the good news is that you can set up a folder just for this purpose while getting started. In case you skipped it, then you can configure this directory from the Options tab. You can specify the types of extension files that should be shared from this folder as well as finished downloads.

You should know that, similarly to other tools, you can set up a limit to the number of downloads as well as the maximum bandwidth to be used. Moreover, you can monitor the folder you are sharing and track the content being uploaded from your system.
