Tonido

Tonido is a simple solution for accessing the data on your computer from any Internet-connected device, turning the entire system into your personal cloud storage.

As soon as the installation process completes the program launches in the default web browser and prompts for creating an account. With the creation of the account you get a web link that allows access to all the data on the computer over the Internet.

The interface is simple and lists all the drives in one place, making navigation a simple matter of point and click.

A search function helps filter out unnecessary items in order to reach the relevant results. In the case of some media files there is the possibility to view them in the web interface.

More control over the data includes uploading items, sharing them via the Tonido service as well as download the items.

The configuration panel provides account-related settings that include the possibility to strengthen security in the case of remote login by enabling a second level of authentication.

Also on the list are network settings, which include the possibility to enable relay, remote web access to the server, turn on SSL without using the relay service. A custom port can be selected.

The flexibility of the service permits defining a different location for camera uploads and creating a list with the locations that can be accessed remotely.

Tonido targets the average and even beginner user; as such, setting it up is a breeze. Access to the files can be done from any device with an Internet connection and files can be downloaded, uploaded and even shared with other users.

It features a player that can render various media formats and it also provides the possibility to enable a synchronization service.
