eMule Xtreme

eMule Xtreme is a customized version of the popular eMule filesharing application that comes with multiple enhancements to improve reliability and transfer speed.

Once installed, the program starts a so-called “First Runtime Wizard” that asks the user to provide the user name and set up a bunch of settings, such as TCP and UDP ports used for communication with servers and clients.

The users are prompted to choose one of the two networks they wish to use and decide whether eMule should manage download and upload priorities automatically.

Obviously, transfer speed depends on the Internet connection you use, but eMule Xtreme seem to need a moderate amount of hardware resources to get the job done.
