Staying well motivated and having most aspects of your life organized are the most basic steps towards achieving your most important goals. Even so, there are many who might argue that having the right tools to help your stay organized and motivated are just as important.

Alto is a very interesting Google Chrome extension that’s designed to help you keep track of your most important goals, by reminding you how much time you still have left and how much time has gone by.

Once installed from the Google Web Store, Alto replaces your browser’s new tab with a personal and somewhat stylish personal assistant/dashboard that displays using easy-to-read progress bars just how much of your life, year, month, week, and day, has passed.

However, before Alto displays all of the aforementioned information, you will be required to either sign up for a new account, or log in if your already have one. The extension will ask for a couple of basic details such as your age, your gender, the time you usually start and end work and how many workdays per week you have.

Even better, the extension allows you to add your very own personal goals and tasks to each and one of these categories, in order to make sure you don’t lose sight of the big picture while being absorbed with typical daily tasks.

Alto is a useful, little extension that aims to make you more focused and more productive by always reminding you how much time you still have left. This, of course, might not be very desirable for everybody, but knowing how much time has passed from a day, a week, a month, a year, or even a lifetime, can be a big motivational factor for many.
