Beanote

Beanote is a slick text highlighter and annotator that comes in the shape of a compact Chrome extension. This add-on might come in handy for users who are conducting research tasks, or for those who'd like to add notes to different paragraphs from sites all over the internet.

To see what Beanote has to offer, one must first select a piece of text from any webpage. Right after that, a small toolbar-like menu will pop up near the cursor. From there you can choose to simply highlight the paragraph, create a sticky note, or submit it for a Google search.

All newly created notes will reside in the Notes tab, inside the extension's UI. The next tab — Pages — lists all the websites from where the notes were taken. To quickly land on such a website, one has to only click one of the bubbles. 

As for the Settings tab, this one is very simple. You won't find any options, tweaks, or extra features, but only a slider that would activate or deactivate the extension on certain sites.

Once a piece of text is highlighted, with one of three available colors, the effect will stay on that page as long as the extension is active or until you remove it yourself. This is the case for the notes as well, so each time you revisit a site with one of these changes, you'll always notice them.

Beanote is nothing more than a Chrome add-on that helps you with note-taking and text-highlighting. With an intuitive dashboard and an easy-to-understand process, Beanote can be of great help to users who want to effortlessly highlight or annotate information on any website.
