Some websites update their content very often but don’t refresh pages automatically, which can be an issue if you are trying not to miss anything important. Fortunately, though, you can use extensions to reload certain browser tabs as often as you like.

ChromeReloadPlus, as the name suggests, was designed to help with the task of refreshing pages in Chrome. It allows you to set an individual refresh interval for each of your opened tabs, and it even supports hotkeys for toggling the timer on or off.

To get started, simply click the extension’s icon in the Chrome toolbar while a website is open. You will be able to choose how often that tab should be refreshed by clicking one of the buttons, and you can also set the exact interval manually.

From now on, the tab will be reloaded automatically, even when Chrome is minimized. A different refresh timer can be set for each tab, and they will only be reset when the tab is closed.

It is possible to set a default reload interval, which will be activated when using the Ctrl+Alt+R or Ctrl+Alt+F5 hotkeys. If you use a specific interval very often, and you need a quicker way to enable it, this feature will be very helpful.

Naturally, it wouldn’t be ideal if the extension reloaded a tab while you were busy doing something on the page. Thankfully, ChromeReloadPlus can reset the timer if key presses or mouse clicks are detected. However, it would have been great if this feature could be disabled.

ChromeReloadPlus does a great job. It can ensure you don’t miss important updates on websites that don’t refresh content automatically, and it offers a decent amount of customization options while still being very easy to use.
