If you notice that Google Chrome runs sluggish and becomes unresponsive, one of the causes that crosses my mind is related to installed extensions and Chrome apps.
Excluding this issue from the list of potential reasons requires you to disable all or some add-ons and check how everything works. At this point, you can ease your work with...you guessed it: another extension! Disable Extensions and Apps is a Chrome add-on that can disable all the extensions and installed Chrome apps with a single click.
Once added to Google Chrome, the Disable Extensions and Apps extension adds a new button to the browser window, right next to the address bar. Pinning it comes in handy, since it allows you to have it within reach.
Clicking on the add-ons button results in disabling all the extensions installed in Google Chrome. Whether you need to troubleshoot Chrome or simply need to test if one of the extensions is affecting its performance, disabling all the extensions in batch comes in handy, especially if you are a fan and have many installed.
There is a preconfigured key shortcut, CTRL-SHIFT-E, which helps you quickly disable all the add-ons using the keyboard exclusively.
A list of all the installed extensions is available in the extension’s options, which allows you to whitelist any of them to have it excluded from the batch operation.
