Tracking links are those unnecessary long links you might have noticed by now while browsing for stuff. Those URLs are a way for businesses or individuals to know where their clicks are coming from, helping them focus on specific search terms or invest in a certain area. For the normal user, clicking on such a link means slower-loading search results and huge URLs to copy. Luckily, there a way to bypass the tracking links, especially if Chrome is your go-to browser. Don't track me Google is a neat extension that removes the tracking part of the link, speeding up your browsing activities.

Speeding up your traffic might sound like a great feature, more so when it comes to Chrome, but that's not the only thing it offers. Preventing other sites from seeing your search terms sounds even better, at least for individuals interested in keeping their privacy intact.

If for any reason you wish to have your click tracked in certain regions, you can change that in the Options menu. By default, all Google locations are affected, but if you move the "Site Access" slider from automatic to manual, you'll be able to opt out the locations you wish to be tracked from, if that's the case.

The location list seems to include all Google country associations, so scrolling through them will take you some time. Use the search function (Ctrl + F) to land on specific associations, sparing you the scrolling effort.

Don't track me Google is a name that may lead one to think a VPN is the main point of focus, but that's not the case.
