Dualless for Chrome

Having to work with multiple tabs in your Chrome browser is not so comfortable when your PC is equipped with a small monitor only. A dual-screen configuration, however, is more convenient. The workspace is airier, and you can easily find the tabs you are looking for.

Aiming to compensate the lack of a physical secondary screen, Dualless for Chrome can split the browser window in two separate panels. In other words, you get to work with two Chrome windows, each carefully placed in the layout of your choice.

The extension is easily installed, and a new button is displayed in the browser’s toolbar, right next to the address bar. You will have to pin it for it not to get hidden in the list of extensions.

Clicking on this button reveals a popup window with all the available layouts and ratios. You can choose any of them and, in a blink of an eye, the Chrome window is split into a pair of windows that are placed on the screen, according to the configuration you chose.

Maybe you are wondering why should you install an extension, when you can do this by yourself just as fine. Yes, you can, but Dualless for Chrome comes with those predefined layouts that allow you to carry out the task with two clicks, rather than manually resizing windows.

Merging split windows is just as easy, since Dualless for Chrome features a layout that occupies the full screen area.

What is interesting about Dualless for Chrome is the MacOS X-like windows management. For instance, when one of the split windows is in focus, its pair is also shown. Together, they occupy the entire screen, providing a working environment that is free of distractions.
