Forget Button for Chrome

The extension is easily installed in Chrome and does not require a browser restart. You should be able to see the new icon in the toolbar immediately. Clicking on it reveals a popup window that comprises all the addon’s options.

Unlike Chrome’s embedded cleaner, with Forget Button you are free to choose the time range to delete data for. Five minutes, two hours, one week are the three predefined options, but you can also choose a custom number of hours. Forget Button lets you erase everything from day one, which is practically a factory reset for your Chrome browser.

Bur what can Forget Button actually delete? First of all, you can configure it to clean the browser cache and the application cache. The more data in the cache, the slower the browser will be. In other words, this operation reduces the loading time of webpages so it is important you perform it on a regular basis.

With Forget Button for Chrome, you can also erase stored cookies, downloads and stored files. The browser history can also be completely erased. The IndexedDB databases, the local storage, plugins’ data, service workers, WebSQL data can also be cleared. As expected, Forget Button can also erase data for filled forms, the browser history, certificates and stored passwords.

One interesting thing about Forget Button is that you get to remove data accumulated on either regular websites, protected websites (which have been installed as hosted applications) or the installed extensions.

Forget Button for Chrome comes in handy to anyone, as it enables you to clean the browser data securely, thus increasing the loading speed of pages. On the downside, you will have to fill in some information once more but, even so, it is highly recommended you perform this operation periodically.
