Health and fitness is an ever-increasing problem nowadays since we get less and less time for ourselves, and the same goes for time spent taking care of our bodies. Since for most of us going to the gym is pretty much out of the question, we could at least monitor how many calories we put into our body, and that is precisely what Health and Fitness are meant to do.

The UI is pretty minimalist, although the text is a bit small considering the big windows, brackets, and buttons. This Google Chrome extension's purpose is to let you keep track of your caloric balance, and it does so by subtracting the caloric expenditure of the exercises you perform from the caloric value of the food you eat. One thing worth mentioning is that the food items and exercises have to be inputted manually, so whatever food or exercise you want to add, you first have to do some research on their caloric value.

If you do find foods but are unaware of the caloric value, all you have to do is add in the number of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates it has, and it will calculate it for you. More so, Health and Fitness come with a built-in Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator, which is supposedly good at letting you know if your current height-to-weight ratio is within a healthy range or not. As you continue using this web app, you can look back and see your progress since each day is logged, letting you know if you're on your way towards a healthier life or not.

While Health and Fitness don't bring many new features to the table, getting an idea how much you can cut back on your calories is way better than nothing at all.
