You've surely found yourself in the situation where you've stumbled upon a picture but wanted to know more about its source and the sites that host it. The frustration starts when you have no idea where to start in order to find more information about an image. Luckily, Image Search Assistant can help track images down by using multiple search engines like Google, Bing, Yandex, Baidu, and several others.

The extension has two methods of operation. You either use the context menu to execute quick and accurate searches for images found online or use the add-ons UI, accessible from the extension bar. One important feature of the physical GUI is the possibility to search for images located on your drive, so you are not limited to online sources only.

The layout provides a history tab, for whenever you feel like checking out all processed images; and a Settings pane, from where you can add more search engines or exclude them entirely.

Upon using the context menu function, a new tab will be opened up, containing another, interface that provides one with more complex information. From that tab, one can preview all the sites that host those images, their full description, and also tons of similar images from all over the Web. The search engines can be instantly swapped from this location, so if you are executing the search using Google, for example, you can immediately change it to Bing and see its available results.
