Iridium for Chrome

If you like watching videos on YouTube, you will love the Iridium for Chrome extension. This add-on improves users' YouTube experience by adding lots of new functionalities to the popular online video platform. From changing some visual elements on YouTube to tweaking the way vids play and allowing us to download thumbnails and take screenshots, this extension comes with many features.

The add-on's Settings section, accessible via its icon from the browser's toolbar, gives access to the many tweaks and features that users can play with to improve their experience on YouTube. We can select the default YouTube page, between Home, Trending, and Subscription, as well as the default channel tab, between Home, Videos, Playlists, and so on. Also, we can make user images squared in the comment section of YouTube, play videos when moving the mouse over their thumbnails, and much more. In addition to all that, Iridium places a series of quick-action buttons below the video player. These keys help us perform other actions, including taking snapshots, viewing and downloading thumbnails, and activating autoplay.

With Iridium, we won't see any more ads on videos. However, if someone wants that, the feat can be enabled under the Settings -> Video section of the add-on. We can also permit ads only on videos from the channels we subscribed to.
