Push to Kindle for Chrome

Nothing beats the coziness of reading a book, but e-readers come pretty close. And when it comes to these devices, Amazon’s Kindle is still a top choice.

But have you ever come across a long web article that you wished you could have read in a different environment - like your snuggle-friendly couch, in front of the fireplace (because we all have one, right?), surrounded by your two dogs and five cats (because pets always love you more when you read instead of feeding them)?

If that is the level of fine reading that you aim for, even when it comes to web articles, or, you know, if you just don’t like reading on your computer monitor, then you could give Push to Kindle a try.

Push to Kindle is a cross-browser extension that you can use to send any web article directly to your Kindle device with just a few clicks. Think long articles like Wikipedia entries, detailed investigative reports, lengthy blog entries or awesome Softpedia reviews.

When you click the extension icon, you’ll be taken to a page where you’ll see a preview of the article in its new format. Then, all you have to do is enter your Kindle email and you can send the text to your device instantly. If you don’t have a Kindle, then you can still download the article in the EPUB, MOBI and PDF formats and transfer it manually to other e-readers.

If you’re not satisfied with the way the extension has converted the web article to the Kindle format, then you can use the PastePad feature and modify the text any way you want, using a more-than-decent word processor.

If you really enjoy your Kindle and are one of those lucky people that actually remember to read the articles they save for later, then there’s no reason why you shouldn’t add Push to Kindle to your browser.
