But things started to change lately, and the supremacy of popular search engines is now challenged by AI-based chatbots that reveal the potential of artificial intelligence. To bring Perplexity even closer to the final user, the team created a Chrome add-on that provides one-click access to the search engine. Perplexity for Chrome adds options to ask Perplexity questions in the Chrome browser directly, without having to access the Perplexity webpage.

The results of the search are displayed in the same floating window, along with a list of sources. It is interesting that you can get a detailed answer as well, not just a concise one. Perplexity for Chrome displays related subjects and allows you to ask a follow-up question, which automatically opens up the official Perplexity website.
