We've seen all there was to when it came to new tab extensions. Most importantly, we've seen plenty of add-ons that organize your life better, or at least that is what they advertise. Plan is yet another attempt at offering more functionality for Chrome users by taking over your new tab page. Out of the dozens of similar extensions, this particular one could be praised for trying to integrate already existing tools, mostly offered by Google. The rest of the formula will definitely feel familiar.

If you're an avid user of Google Calendar and its features or Microsoft's Outlook, for that matter, then you should consider using this extension to have your tasks and whole program displayed on any brand-new tab you open in your browser. The extra features you get with this extension, such as date and time of day, weather, and even shortcuts to various other Google apps, all work to enhance your experience. Is this enough? It all depends on what the users want, but in order for this extension to stand out of the crowd, more needs to be done.

Another somewhat interesting factor when using this application should be the ability to customize your experience. We've already mentioned the ability to use either Google's calendar app or Microsoft's Outlook alternative. The New Tab backgrounds also seem to be adapted to each individual, in particular, using this add-on. While it's not functionality to go crazy about, it is in many ways soothing to know that your experience won't be 100% the same as in the case of other users.

Plan is not one of those extensions that will leave you speechless. In fact, it manages to follow an already patented formula, simply changing the bits and pieces that the developers felt needed slight adjustments. With this in mind, you'll be just as satisfied using this extension as you probably would be when using any other similar add-on.
