Extensions targeted toward empowering sales aren't all that numerous: if there's something to help workers in that field, it would most likely come in the form of third-party software solutions or web-based apps. As the sales field is all about outreach, tools to optimize workflows and improve efficiency are much needed, and this can come in different ways.

In that sense, Reply is an aptly-named Chrome extension that seeks to boost sales outreach by automatically fetching the emails of LinkedIn users, therefore greatly saving on time and resources. Besides that, the tool also features numerous ways to organize tasks and automatically email contacts based on a set of templates.

As this is a Chrome extension, no installation is required. You will, however, be required to sign up to the service, and it's worth noting that only corporate domain emails are allowed. Given that the tool offers a Continue with Google option, such a restriction seemed especially jarring. Nevertheless, it was all smooth sailing after authenticating.

Searching for users on LinkedIn would have the add-on automatically fetch their emails, without having us require navigating to their profiles. More pointedly, the tool was able to extract the emails of the first 10 results from a LinkedIn search, all automatically. Thereafter, we could sync them to our contacts, and the extension would take us to a web interface of sorts, which contained a multitude of additional functionalities.

The web interface presents the user with a plethora of options to relay messages to their contacts. There's a notable variety of email templates, and they range from multichannel demo requests and customer trials, all the way to recruiting and outbound cold outreach.

These templates can get strikingly in-depth: for instance, the Trial to Customer preset allows the user to automatize their emails based on a set of variables, which can trigger in different ways. As a rough example, if the recipient fails to reply within 3 days, the tool would automatically email them on your behalf. The app initially breaks the process down into steps and dates, which are then conditioned by the aforementioned variables, and the user is free to modify any such parameters.

The Tasks functionality is also of note, and again, there's quite the variety. You can create tasks to call someone, send a request or message a LinkedIn user, book a meeting, send an SMS or WhatsApp message, and the list goes on. These can be associated to the contacts you have synced beforehand, so you can always be on top of your work.

Reply is quite an exhaustive sales-centered extension: the way in which it automates workflows is worth appreciating just as much as its general ease-of-use, which makes tapping into its potential quite a simple affair.
