Normally you'd think that the idea of generating thumbnails for any website on the fly would be resource consuming, which is something you wouldn't want on a browser that is already famous for being hungry on your RAM, but that isn't the case. The creation of the thumbnails is instantaneous, and you can even select for the extension to show you a popularity bar, which also helps in finding the website you're looking for. One thing you should know is that the extension does ask for the permission to read and change all your data on websites you visit, which is something those of you weary or their privacy should know.

While not extraordinary in what it does, SearchPreview for Chrome does manage to improve you're browsing speed, in some situations by quite a lot actually, and since it consumes next to no extra memory, you might as well give it a try.
