Social Blade is a renowned website that gives people access to social media analytics and statistics. The site offers data on YouTube channels, Twitch streamers, Twitter and Facebook bloggers and vloggers, and a few more. Social Blade for Chrome is a must-have if you are curious about the stats of a channel while watching a video or stream, or reading posts.

Even though the Social Blade extension for Chrome supports YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and Instagram, the focus seems to be on YouTube. For Google's service, the extension's devs came up with an interesting gadget. Accordingly, Social Blade for Chrome rolls down a side window inside YouTube while a video is playing, showing the statistics for the respective channel. As for the other social media networks mentioned above, the extension only displays a button that activates the stats only if users click on it.

Thanks to the Social Blade extension for Chrome, you will automatically see a lot of details about a YouTube channel while you watch one of the vids on it. The app gives you information about the channel grade, potential monthly and annually earnings, number of views and subscribers, video tags, and more. These analytics and stats could be handy if you are a vlogger or a game streamer yourself and want to check on the competition. Also, it's fun to have this extension if you're curious about how much money your favorite YouTube or Twitch channel makes.

I tested the extension and enjoyed using it while watching various videos on YouTube. When I clicked on the extension's icon, it sent me directly on a Social Blade landing page where I could enter the name of a channel of YouTube, Twitch, and so on, for a quick search. Unfortunately, from time to time, the Social Blade extension is a bit laggy. It also makes YouTube lag, and if you have multiple tabs open, the latency becomes even more visible.
