ToDoBot for Chrome

Slack has become an extremely popular tool for many people in the workplaces all around the world. Thanks to its focus on making “working life simpler, more pleasant and more productive,” Slack is all about communication in the workplace at its finest as it helps teams collaborate efficiently.

One very important aspect of Slack is the fact that it is so extensible. Whoever you are, wherever you work from, Slack’s improvement can be improved by a lot thanks to a plethora of official and third-party tools.

One such tool is called ToDoBot and its job is to help you and your team focus on what really matters – getting tasks done. In short, it allows you to manage all your to-dos without leaving Slack, track panned work more reliably, and even distribute work by sharing to-dos with your team.

As it happens, the tool also provides a Chrome extension to make things even easier for everyone. ToDoBot for Chrome is focused on bringing you to-do list even closer to you and your team by integrating it in your favorite browser’s toolbar.

This extension allows you to create to-dos in ToDoBot by simply typing them in or by selecting text or images on the pages. A very nice thing is that you can create these lists in Slack and complete or manage in Chrome’s toolbar, or vice versa.

As expected, tasks can be shared to lists, posted to channels, and even shared directly with your teammates. The extension even has a nice way of allowing you to prioritize various tasks by adding “fire” to them (right click any task in the extension and select “Set of Fire”).

To get enable the extension in your browser, you need to be logged into Slack, and also make sure that ToDoBot is installed. Then, head over to the Chrome Web Store, install ToDoBot for Chrome just like any other extension and follow the simple synchronization wizard that it provides.
