Twitch Chat Font Size

When watching a Twitch stream in your browser, the only way to increase or decrease the size of the chat font is to modify the page zoom level. Of course, this isn’t the best solution, as the dimensions of every page element are also changed.

Twitch Chat Font Size is a Chrome extension that offers a much better alternative – it adds a couple of new buttons to the chat panel, enabling you to change the size of the text easily. It only works for live chat, however, so you can’t use it when watching VODs.

The extension is very simple to set up, as you don’t need to configure anything after installing it. Once it has been added to Chrome, you can just go to Twitch and open up a stream to see the changes.

Two new buttons will be added to the chat panel, and they don’t look out of place at all. You can press the plus button to increase the font size and the minus button to decrease it, so it is about as simple as we could expect.

Of course, many users prefer to watch recordings of streams rather than the live broadcast. Unfortunately, though, the zoom buttons are only added to the live Twitch chat, so you will not be able to modify the text size of the chat replay.

Since many users watch live streams using the Twitch desktop client and only use their browsers to watch VODs, this does make the extension somewhat less useful.

Twitch Chat Font Size is a great extension for Chrome users who watch Twitch streams but are not happy with the default chat cont size. It would have been great if it also worked with chat replays, but it is very useful nonetheless.
