VerticalTabs

Chrome, like most browsers out there, has a horizontal display of its tabs. Some individuals work with dozens of active tabs at once, which leads to them being shrinked down, thus easily losing track of their order. VerticalTabs is a nifty extension that offers a vertical list of all opened tabs, allowing you to see their whole description while at the same time facilitating a faster selection.

First things first, the extension does not eliminate the horizontal tab display. It simply adds a new menu from where you can access them much easier. Of course, even in vertical mode, a long list that gets out of your monitor’s bounds will be tricky to flawlessly display all entries, that's why a search function was implemented.

The search function uses character identification and filtering, so you can reach your tabs without too much typing. The leap to a certain tab once you click it from the vertical menu is instant.

VerticalTabs does not give the impression that there is space for customization, yet the Options menu is not empty. One can decide how large the popup width size is, which influences the list appearance. The title size can also be adjusted, and it supports from a single line, up to ten. If you need a tab counter, the extension's icon can give you the total number of active tabs.

Keyboard shortcuts, or hotkeys, are also available for use. You can switch, select and remove tabs with the provided hotkeys. Sadly, there is no way to edit these shortcuts, as they are predefined and locked in place.
